Riding with TEAM HIPPO..!!!

This morning I drove to Bill Ross’ home ( TEAM HIPPO) to go for a slow 3 hour ride , it was pretty cold 35 degrees ,but no wind , we drank some coffee and then we headed out the door , we headed down to the lake . I have not been at the lake since last summer , so it was almost like a new experience. The lake looks completely different , the west side is being fixed , when going up the west side of the trail we saw a bicycle police woman riding ahead of Billy and I , that’s when Billy decided to remind me that I might get a ticket for not wearing my helmet , I only have my SOBE beanie , so we road behind the cop for about a mile really slow ,just waiting for the right time to pass her , maybe she wont see me without my helmet. When saw the right moment I sprinted pass her and drop Billy , I took off down the west side and time trialed for several miles ‘till I didn’t see her anymore . I made a big effort . I waited for Billy (TEAM HIPPO) . when he caught up to me he told me “you don’t have to worry she’s a friend of mine.” “phew that was scary.” , after that incident we road for 3 more lap talking from cars to cycling , it was a nice ride .
