This morning I got up ,drank coffee ,got ready and out the door , I was late for the Saturday morning north ride. While watching the weather forecast last night the mention the temperature was going to be like 33F ,well this morning was like 39F so I dressed light ,ooops !! What a mistake , today was humid, foggy and cold . On my way to the ride I was feeling ok . I got to independence and headed north , I find Marc Corbin. we road pretty slow waiting for the group , that’s when I felt how cold was today ,my toes ,fingers and ears they hurt. When the group caught up with Marc and I they were going slow . After we crossed hwy 121 I decided to step the pace up a little more, so I moved to the front of the pack and tried to work some more , oh boy I felt much better , I was tired but much warmer , today I was not going to do the sisters( the 3 sisters , 3 hills ) , so I took a short cut with some other riders, we met them in ElDorrrado pkwy. In road 326 they were going to take a brake but nobody stopped , but Jaime burns , then suddenly before the fruit stand they start to go hard again . When we hit Stacy rd we were still going pretty fast , that’s when I blow up , I stop pedaling , and gave up , I was going to continue at my own pace but they were still in front of me for a while . When I turned right on E Stacy rd I saw a group of 4 people behind me, so I waited for them and make a little short cut down Goodman dr when we got to Angel pkwy we could not catch up with the group , then some of the guys start to take pulls and we cut up with the group two lights latter , from there on it was pretty steady , today I road better than expected , but it was pretty cold , I road home with David Mootz . When I got home I had 57 miles great day .
